During the rollout of brand new HP multi-function devices for copy and print, CIT and Datapac have embarked on a three phase plan to get you, so that we would have all the MFDs in place for both staff and students to use when the Semester started

Details on the three phase plan and their current status is as follows:

PHASE 1

All non-card operated Multi-function devices replaced with the new HP devices

Status – COMPLETED (this mostly affected staff)

PHASE 2

All card operated Multi-function devices replaced by the new HP devices and the removal of a large number of Kiosks.

NOTE: This will mean that when you go to print in a student area (e.g. outside Open Access), you need to scan your card at a kiosk and then proceed to any Multi-function device, scan your card at any device and then print/copy your Job(s).

Status – COMPLETED (affected student printing areas)

PHASE 3

Remove all remaining kiosks

NOTE: This will mean that you will be able to go directly to a new multi-function device in an student area (e.g. outside Open Access), scanning your card once and processing your print/copy job(s)

Status - TO BE COMPLETED IN SEMESTER 1

BENEFITS FOR YOU THE USER

  • Brand new HP multi-function devices
  • In student areas there will no longer be a separate device for colour printing or mono printing, all these devices will have dual ability
  • On-site Datapac engineer to resolve any issues that may arise
