How do I posting an Update ?


You can post an update to everyone in MTU or to your department or campus through the activity feed.


Posting an update on desktop

1. From the top of the activity feed select ‘Post an Update’

2. The window below will appear. This allows you to enter the message you wish to post. The options along the bottom of the window allows you to

  • Upload an Image
  • Upload a Video
  • Select the audience of the Post (globe icon)


3.    Clicking the Globe icon will allow you to select a specific audience of the Update. This allows you to post the update to everyone in MTU, a specific Space or a specific  teams = department / campus.



4. When posting an update, it’s also possible to link the update to a particular MTU value. To do so click ‘Link to a Value..’ and select the value or goal you wish to link this update to:


5. Click 'Post' to post your update.


How do I post a update on my Mobile ? 


1. Select ‘Post an Update’ from the top of the feed in the activity tab of the Workvivo Mobile app

What is Posting a shout-out?

A shout-out is an easy way to recognise your peers and highlight the brilliant things they do. You can give a shout-out from both the Desktop app and Mobile app.


How do I post a shout-out on my desktop?


1. From the top of the activity feed select ‘Post a Shout-out’

2. Enter the message you wish to post. You can also upload an image / video in the window below:



3. Click the ‘Select one or more recipients’ option – this is the section where you can determine who you wish to recognise. As seen below you can select individuals and/or teams that you want to give the shout-out to



4.    The Globe icon at the bottom of the shout-out screen can be used to determine the audience of the shout–out. Here you make the shout out visible to Everyone in MTU, a specific team = department/campus or a Space / group of Spaces


5. Once ready, click ‘Post’ to post your shout-out


How do I post shout out on my Mobile ? 


Give a shout-out on mobile

You can also give a Shout Out using your Mobile device:

1. Click ‘Post a shout-out’ from the top of the activity feed


2. Select the recipients of the shout-out from the top of the window



3. Enter your message and add a photo or video etc.

4. Once ready, click ‘Post’ to post your shout-out

 




What will I see on the main Activity Feed?


The main activity feed which is available on Desktop and Mobile devices will display the following content:

  • Company wide updates
  • Company wide shout outs
  • Activity from the spaces you have joined
  • News articles
  • Events
  • New hires announcements
  • Milestone work anniversaries
  • Pulse surveys





What is a space ?


A Space is information about a subject you can join the Space if you are interested the Subject. 



How can I join a space on  my desktop ?


You can join a space from either the Desktop.

  1. Select the Space you wish to Join from the All Spaces window.
  2. At the top right corner you will see the option to ‘Join Space’ – once selected you are now a member of the space and can post updates, ask and answer questions:


How do I Join a space on my Mobile ?


  1. Select the Space you wish to Join from the All Spaces section
  2. Select ‘Join Space’:


How can I filter what I see in my activity feed?


You can apply different content filters to customise your activity feed. You can turn on or off the below filter types:

  • Updates
  • Value Updates
  • Shout-outs
  • Space questions
  • News articles
  • Events
  • Work anniversaries
  • Welcome Wednesdays

You also have the option to filter the activity feed by team. This will allow you to see all posts created by a specific team=  department / campus or space.




How can I search for content on WorkVivo ?


You can easily search for specific people, updates & shout-outs, news and events, spaces and more on the Desktop app.

To open the search screen, navigate to the search icon in the navigation bar:

Alternatively, you can easily open the search bar by pressing the forward-slash / key.

From the search screen simply enter the term you are looking for:
